This is the case for me, too, but I think it's still right--that
is, I think I could burn CD's with my ide-scsi stuff set up with:

cdrecord dev=2,1,0 cdrom.iso

*or* without it set up with:

cdrecord dev=ATAPI:0,0,0 cdrom.iso

...that is, I think the ATAPI stuff actually assigns the cdrom a
different bus id than the SCSI emulation stuff--but I don't know
that much about it.
