stdio.h

I am following the open-book "Advanced Unix Programming with Linux".

When I compile
gcc -c main.c

I got the following message
main.c:1: stdio.h: No such file or directory

and indeed stdio.h isn't present in my system (woody bf24/gcc 2.95).

Do I need to install some other package?
