Re: upgraded to 2.4 "/etc/modules is more recent..." error message



I've got a simple workaround that might be recommended (I dunno... works
for me) :

touch /etc/modules.conf /lib/modules/2.4.18-686/modules.dep

it changes the timestamp on both files, simultaneously.

I don't think there's any side-effects (never encountered one) as I do
this almost everytime I upgraded the kernel.
