Unless you were running mozilla as root, this won't work. The easiest 
way to get java and flash working for mozilla is to start mozilla as 
root and then go to this address:

http://mazinger.technisys.com.ar/pruebas-nick/mozilla/

Once the long download completes and the installation is successful, 
stop mozilla, and then run mozilla as a regular user. You should see 
java (and flash if you chose it) in Help | About Plugins. You're done!
