RE: smtp

As far as I can remember, I once used auth first b4 smtp.
Any MTA can do it, just a right config. Try using qmail.

Wait for d other's 2. :)

Subject: smtp

Hi,

I have a problem, staff are often going overseas and need to sedn email.
Usually they change their smtp server setting to reflect where they are
connect, uni, private isp, hotel etc.

This is ok for some staff, but really not ok for others.

I though if I could setup a smtp server here, they could use it when ever
they are connected, regardless of the provider. Clearly an open relay is not
the way forward, I'd like them to login before sending, ssl preferred but
not essential.

What should I be using ?

I do not need pop3 or imap, just outgoing mail.

Matt
