Re: M$ licenses Unix

Should I be concerned that one day in the near future Linux
will no longer exist as an operating system?

No.

However, your message exemplifies the confusion and doubt spread by SCO's tactics -- with Microsoft's complicity, I might add. Microsoft's Machiavellian licensing of SCO's "intellectual property" is merely another way of supporting a surrogate war against Linux and IBM.

SCO does not need to have a valid complaint to succeed in casting a fearful shadow over the use of Linux. Right and wrong, innocence and guilt -- victory in such issues is often determined by politics and press releases, not logic and facts.

The best thing we can do is continue doing what we believe to be the right thing -- which for me is using Linux regardless of the machinations of Microsoft and its minions.
