LILO is the LInux LOader, a bootloader.  The system BIOS hands off to
whatever is in the boot block, where LILO sits, the LILO kicks the
Linux kernel (or whatever different OS you chose on a multiboot box),
which in turn takes over for LILO.

You're so close.

(1) adjust the mail server to relay mail bound for host.site.tld to
    host.site.tld.

(2) Make sure the MX entry in DNS for host.site.tld either doesn't
    exist or points to host.site.tld.

If apon given these suggestions you get back a blank look, cut your
losses and install fetchmail...
