X itself does not care what bus your mouse is on, as long as you point it at the correct device. For USB, this is /dev/input/mice, for PS/2, this is /dev/psaux, etc. > I forget which one I chose. Firstly, the kernel might not have setup USB yet. To handle this automatically, install the 'hotplug' package. Once you've installed that, you should be able to 'cat /dev/input/mice', wiggle the mouse and see junk spouted to the screen. After this bit, you know your mouse is working and that the kernel sees it. Just 'dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86' and reconfigure the mouse bit. The device is /dev/input/mice, but you'll have to find the protocol out yourself (reading /usr/share/doc/xserver-xfree86/README.mouse.gz will help, or just installing 'mdetect' and running 'mdetect -x' to find it out for you). > 2. I don't really know, but I vageuly remember konsole having some weird font issue...I like the fonts from the xfonts-artwiz package for terminal use (though they're not truetype, and do not get anti-aliased (which I don't consider a bad thing)). Just mention them (or any others) in /etc/fonts/local.conf and konsole should see them fine. > 3. How do I set a Konsole window to be "sticky" so that it appears > on all desktops? This is a window manager thing. Assuming you're using kwin (the KDE default), then right clicking on the title bar and choosing 'sticky' should work...Though, it has been a loooong time since I've used KDE. -- Rob Weir <rweir@ertius.org> http://www.ertius.org/ GPG keys: 1024D/1E73B7CD, 4096R/3ABDE5EC | Do I look like I want a CC?
