Pasting URLs via mouse-2 fails in Galeon2
Hi.
I'm running the latest Galeon from Unstable. I'm not sure whether this
is a bug in Galeon, or a feature of Gnome2.
In a nutshell, in Galeon1, I could select a URL from the location bar
with mouse-1 and paste it with mouse-2. (As is with most text in most
X programs.) Now, I have to choose Edit->Copy to copy the URL, and
Edit->paste to paste it.
The rest of the application works as expected: I can select other text
with mouse-1 and paste it into the location bar with mouse-2, I can
select a URL with mouse-1 and paste it into a form on a web page with
mouse-2 (but *only* on the same tab -- if I switch to another tab,
mouse-2 pastes nothing).
Is this a bug? Or a feature to make using gnome2/galeon2 less of a
culture shock to win32 refugees? When I started using *nix, I was
surprised that mouse-2 pasted whatever I'd selected. Now that I've
realized how quickly I can copy/paste with it, it's become
indispensable.
Regards,
