Not sure if this is useful or relevant, but I have:

00:0d.0 Ethernet controller: Accton Technology Corporation SMC2-1211TX (rev 10)

which has served me well, using the 'rtl8139' module. Not so much a recomendation,
I yelled for a NIC and someone threw me this - simply a "SMC works for me"
