it does, yes, however lyx is almost entirely designed to be used to
create latex documents.

lyx doesn't have any printing section at all.

right.  i export my lyx document to latex and i still get tons of errors
when i try to run latex and then dvipdf on the exported latex document.

that's what i was told when i asked others the same question, and i
think it's what i'll do.  someone else mentioned a latex book on amazon,
which i think i'll pick up.

I never really got the hang of emacs as a text editor (i use vim and
occasionally nano), but i think i'll check this package out.
