just want a newer date, nothing else

Hi,

 

What's the best way to update /bin/date in shellutils from woody to
/bin/date in coreutils in sarge or sid?

 

My thoughts:

 

1.	Compile from source, replace /bin/date.  How do I hold a single
package within shellutils then?
2.	Add source list for sarge or sid to /etc/apt/sources.list and
somehow figure out how to upgrade /bin/date from shellutils to coreutils
without upgrading the rest of those utils.
3.	I tried to find a backport of /bin/date for woody on apt-get.org,
but no luck.
