It's i810 on the motherboard and the monitor [LCD (TFT)] is all but
integrated as well. Gateway Profile 1.8.

(II) LoadModule: "i810"
(II) Loading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/i810_drv.o
(II) Module i810: vendor="The XFree86 Project"
 compiled for 4.1.0.1, module version = 1.0.0
 Module class: XFree86 Video Driver
ABI class: XFree86 Video Driver, version 0.4

I've been reading everything I can get my hands on and trying everything I
think might stand a chance of working.

This was the last failure:

# apt-get install discover mdetect read-edid
# dpkg -P --force-depends xserver-xfree86 xfree86-common
# apt-get install xserver-xfree86 xfree86-common

I'm starting to suspect

"Fatal server error:
AddScreen/ScreenInit failed for driver 0"

as I've done pretty much everything I can imagine with XF86* files.

Think there-in may be the trouble?

Thanks for your time and effort Nate.
