It happens because you chose to use frontend, gnome for debconf, and for
one or another reason, it doesn't work properly. Therefore dialog is
used to replace it. 
To get rid of the messages, though, use dpkg-reconfigure debconf to
choose the one that works for your system (e.g. dialog).
