It is the default kernel on Woody. I expect source to it. In fact,
if source is not available, Debian is in violation of the GPL.
Plus, benchmarks I have seen indicate that 2.2 runs better on older
hardware, 486s in this case. 2.6 is available Real Soon Now. I need
to tweak the kernel today. When I have that working, I will probably
jump to the latest 2.2.x. That's supposed to be one of the great
selling points for Linux and Debian, no forced obsolescence. You
saying that's a lie?
