This may be a silly question but just to make sure.  Are you currently
running a 2.4.18 kernel?  If so, the source should have gone to
/usr/src/kernel-2.4.18.  You can do a symlink from /usr/src/-2.4.18 to
/usr/src/linux since that it how may apps want to see it.  Also, I can't
remember for sure but the install of the kernel-source may not extract the
source for your.  I think you may have to go into /usr/src/ and extract the
file kernel-source-2.4.18.tar.gz which will build your
/usr/src/kernel-2.4.18 directory.
