...still being unanswered.

So, I tried

dselect

Install

an system answered:

E: Internal Error, Couldn't configure a pre-depend.
Some errors ocurred while unpacking. I'm going to configure the
packages, that were installed. This may result in duplicate
errors or errors, caused by missing dependencies.
This is OK, only the errors above this message are important!
Please fix them and [I]nstall again.
Press enter to continue.
278 packes upgraded, 142 newly installed, 5 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
5 packages not fuilly installed or removed.
Need to get oB/200MB of archives. After unpacking 217MB
will be used. Do you want to continue ? -> Yes
Media Change Please insert the disc, labeled Debian...3.0r1..(20021218)
in the drive '/cdrom/' and press enter.

..so I did, but only the same messages appeared again.

So I tried
apt-get update:

Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done

apt-get dist-upgrade:

Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
apt: Depends: libc6 (>= 2.2.3-7) but 2.1.3-20 is installed
aptitude: Depends: libapt-pkg2.7 but is not installable
    .
    .
    .
wmaker: Depends: libxpm4
E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f

apt-get -f dist-upgrade:

270 packages upgraded.....
    .
    .
    .
Official i386 Binary-1 (20021218) in drive ... and press enter

E: Internal Error, Couldn't configure a pre-depend.

And finally, I did
apt-get -f install:

     .
     .
     .
113packages upgraded, .....
...
Do you want to continue ? -> Yes

Media Change: ...
Official i386 Binary-1 (20021218).... and press enter

E: Internal Error, Couldn't configure a pre-depend.

Does anyone have an idea, how to fix this upgrading-behaviour
and can tell me, what is wrong here and what is recommended,
to terminate the Upgrade 3.0r0 -> r1 ?

Many thanks,
greetings

Christoph Walther
