Thanks to both of you! - The solution was a mixture of your recommendations:
append="video=vga16:off"

Debian does no longer boot in graphic-mode.

However: It uses 80x50 textmode. - My aim is the 80x25-textmode. I tried to
find a list of possible parameters for "video" in the internet, but didn't
find them. Do you know a source?
