Firstly, why are you building from source?  The Debian apache packages
work well, and lets someone else look after security updates for you :)
If you're sure you want to bulid from source though, then I'd suggest
downloading the apache and libapache-mod-ssl source packages from your
local Debian mirror, tweaking the 'configure' options in debian/rules
and rebuilding them.  There's piles of documentation on the WWW about
doing this.  Voila!  Custom packages, neatly managed by dpkg.
