I installed the alsa-modules-2.4.19-386 package to go along with my
2.4.19-386 kernel. I then went to the ALSA documentation for the via82xx
module and copied the modules.conf information into /etc/modutils/alsa. I
then ran "update-modules".

When I run /etc/init.d/alsa start I'm receiving an error saying that no
device was found. Is there something I should change in my BIOS to enable
the sound system?
