It looks like you don't have /dev/mouse created as a link to the
actual device.  Assuming your no-name mouse is a PS/2, as root (or
using sudo) do:

# cd /dev
# ln -s psaux mouse

This will link /dev/mouse to the actual PS/2 device /dev/psaux.

Hopefully, this'll do it.
