Only way to find out is to do some searching, try to find a mailing
list for the card your using and ask.. I don't remember where I saw
the info about my card with relation to Xvideo. Or you could just
try changing color depth. Try both 16,24. I think my card only works
in 16bit color.
a new driver may help too, if theres one available, what video chip
and what driver and what version of X are you using?
there is always the possibility that Xvideo is just flat out not
supported on your card, especially if it's an older card or a card
thats not among the most popular(Matrox/Nvidia/3dfx/ATI).
least you know the problem is Xvideo now :)
