I really like the way in Pat> KDE you get the print dialoge and can cjoose paper size, resolution Pat> etc it seems a great step forward in Linux desktop usabilty. There is the gnome-print project, which is supposed to give you pretty "print" dialogs, but I don't known how well it integrates with CUPS. The closest thing right now, probably, is gtklp (available as a Debian package since, IIRC, woody), which is a "Frontend for cups written in gtk", but it doesn't integrate with any other programs. Hmm. A Google search of "gnome-print cups" yields this page: http://lists.ximian.com/archives/public/gnome-print/2002-July/001054.html which claims that they are working on using cups directly, and that it should be ready for Gnome 2.2. -- Hubert Chan <hubert@uhoreg.ca> - http://www.uhoreg.ca/ PGP/GnuPG key: 1024D/124B61FA Fingerprint: 96C5 012F 5F74 A5F7 1FF7 5291 AF29 C719 124B 61FA Key available at wwwkeys.pgp.net.
