After reading a few other posts, I think only some of us were.
The problem with Ogg, is that it's fine for use on a PC, but
I've got a Rio 300 and a Rio Volt (and am planning on buying a
DVD player soon). So, if MP3 can't be used legally under
Linux, I'll have to re-rip and encode 100 CDs, and in the
future I'll have to encode two versions of everything.
Right now I listed to the same MP3 CDs under Linux that I use
in my Rio Volt. It's rather convenient that way.
