Sometimes things work themselves out when you run a 'apt-get -f install'.  
Read the man page to figure out exactly what this means, but I think it does a 
dpkg --force --install on all pending packages.  Most of the time this works 
for me, YMMV.  Then again, it might not be at all what you want.

Judging from your output from the "package audit" though, you might be okay by 
just doing a 'apt-get --reinstall install libc6'.  Then HOPEFULLY apt-get will 
figure out what else needs to be reconfigured and installed.
