I've only use an external monitor once and I don't remember it being a 
problem. It happily displayed to both the laptop TFT and the external 
projector. I did have the s3switch[1] software installed and set for dual 
display, so it could be that.

As an aside, I was pleased to find that the internal modem (Conexant HSF) 
wasn't a winmodem after all, and it works really well with the drivers from 
http://www.mbsi.ca/cnxtlindrv/

SR33 uses a Savage S3 chipset - mine is an IX. Just a shame Open GL isn't 
supported on these chipsets :(
