Using abook

Hi,

I find abook to be a useful program to store the addresses and other
info about my contacts. After invoking abook from the command-line, I
can add all the details about a person. But when I press `w' to write
the database and press `q' to quit, nothing is saved. In fact, the file
~/.abook.addressbook will not even be created. Is this the expected
behaviour of abook as a standalone program?

The problem is still there
if called from mutt. Suppose I want to add an address to the database,
there is a complaint about not finding .abook.addressbook. But repeating
the process after doing touch .abook.addressbook solves the problem.

Should not abook create the database file when asked to do a write? Am I
doing things wrongly? The documentation is silent about these issues.

Regards,
