SCSI HDD Problem

I use QDI LegenX IV Dual-Celeron 440LX board.
It has on-board AIC-7880 Ultra SCSI host adapter.

My dmesg is:

1. Why "Illegal cable configuration!!. Only two connectors on the adapter
may be used at a time!" message is displayed?
My SCSI BIOS termination is set to "automatic" and HDD side termination
jumper was properly set.
In kernel 2.2 I had no problem, but in kernel 2.4, I've got above message.

2. I think transfer speed should be 40MB/s(20MHz). Is there any scsi
checking tool or method?
