Re: xserver-xxx for Nvidia cards
No, I would really like some guiding! :-)
My setup: testing, 2.4.18-k7, xfree4.1.
What I have tried is this:
1) did 'apt-get install kernel-headers-2.4.18-k7'
2) did 'apt-get nvidia-kernel-src'
3) did 'apt-get nvidia-glx-src'
4) ran 'dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86'
5) edit 'XF86Config-4', changed 'Driver' from 'nv' to 'nvidia'
When I 'startx' it doesn't find any nvidia device.
Have I missed something major? Do I need to compile
the 'src' deb packages somehow? Tell me as detailed
as you can, I'm a newbie with devices/modules/X...!
