I end up with 2 route entries .... one with
netmask 255.255.255.255 and the other rigged
for default that gateways through the ip setup
by ppp0.
I believe, (quick rough guess) you need to leave
the 255.255.255.255 entry alone and rig up the
second route entry with the ...248 netmask.
