Woody APMD package / config bug? apm_proxy config files
I just installed Woody <from CD> onto a new laptop. The bf24 kernel was
used and things went pretty smoothly. Go Debian!!!
After installing the apmd package, pressing the power button put the
system into sleep mode. perfect.
I then built my own kernel 2.4.18 from a www.kernel.org download. All
went smooth, until several days later, when the power button was
pressed, to put the system into sleep. This was the first time the
function was used since the upgrade.
PROBLEM:
=============
The power button now shuts the system down; however apmsleep, from the
command line, does make the system sleep. It looks as if the config
files are no longer in the /etc/apm/.. subdirectories. apt-get install
--reinstall apmd has not recovered any config files.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
