NO!  "DeviceURI test:/dev/null"  Post your printers.conf file if you're still having problems.

You didn't install the lexmarkwrapper (from foomatic-lexmark-kit) in the path (see path below).  The foomatic-lexmark-kit is found on linuxprinting.org.

with lexmark's drivers, you should NOT use the actual port.  If you were to run "lsof /dev/lp0", lsof should not list any programs.  This is why we modified the printers.conf file.  Aren't you using USB anyways?  This could be a default from your printers.conf typo.

If you still have problems, run usbview and check if your printer is identified by Linux (I'd also recommend installing the usbmgr package).
