I think it's worth it to learn openoffice, because chances are, in an
office environment where just Linux or Linux and some other platform,
they've got OOo.  That, and you can just carry around knoppix and use
that for OO if something isn't entirely MS compatible about it yet (I
haven't run into this problem).

Also, if I'm not mistaken, Sun either stopped dev or relicenced it back
into a closed source product...I don't remember.
