Look in /etc/inittab, near the end. The comments have relevant
information about adding more gettys. Note that you can always switch
between terminals with ALT+<left arrow> and ALT+<right arrow>. I would
think that terminals beyond twelve would only be accessible by this
sequence, but I don't know.
