CUPS & GIMP-print driver

Hello,
I am having trouble getting CUPS to work correctly with my Lexmark Z53
printer.  I turned the log level up to "debug" and I didn't see any
obvious errors.  It executed pstops, pstoraster, and rastertoprinter
print filters (no gs??? no lexmark binary z53 filter???).  Can anyone
help?
