Because it's (a) intrusive, (b) annoying, and (c) not necessary. Here's a
procmail recipie that'll sort out all mail from Debian mailing lists:
# Debian lists ...
:0:
* ^X-Mailing-List: .*[<].*@lists\.debian\.org[>]
* ^X-Mailing-List: .*[<] *\/[^ ][^@]*
$MATCH
Don't ask your MUA to do things better done by other tools. :)
