If it works with Linux, then it works with Linux (Slack and Debian
both have linux kernels, it's just a matter of learning how to
configure it). If it's a PCI card use 'lspci' to get the model
number, then google to find out which driver it is. A machine here
has an ISA-based SMC card and it works fine (both RH and Debian) with
the 'smc_ultra' module.
