Question.
1. What version of Debian (potato or woody)?
2. Kernel version? (also prepacaged or roll-your-own?)
3. Do you have kernel-nsf support?
  Does kernel-nsf compiled in when compiled?
  Did you add modules for kernel-nsf in /etc/modules ? 
   ... or used insmod/modprobe to activate modules?
