At a guess, I'd say it might have been dropped from Woody because of unresolved bugs. BTS says there is one "grave" and one "important" bug outstanding, in addition to several "normal" bugs. You can always install the sid version if you really want it. Personally, I prefer gnome-gv or xpdf. Craig
