I've compiled the 2.4.18 kernel.org source on a Mandrake 8.1 system
and the reader works. I also did a comparison of the file sizes of all
the files in drivers/usb of the 3 different sets of sources and they are
the same.

I did try to compile 2.4.18 (kernel.org) on Woody, but being new to
debian I must be doing something wrong because I couldn't get it to boot
- I'll think about that tomorrow.

So I'm just confused, but the fact that the reader works when 2.4.18 is
compiled on Mandrake shows its not a problem with the kernel.org source.

Oh and this is using the standard UHCI driver.
