Re: latest Nvidia drivers



Unstable (SID) here ... same procedure.
With a custom kernel it works as described in /usr/share/doc/nvidia-kernel

If you dont have a custom kernel you might need some extra crunching.
Without the custom kernel i got it working (on 2.4.18-k7 precompiled)
with following method :

install apropriate kernel-headers
unpack the nvidia-kernel into /usr/src/..
cd into the resulting /usr/src/modules/nvidia-kernel-1.0.2802/ directory
run "./debian/rules
cd into the new NVidia-kernel dir and run
 "make SYSINCLUDE=/usr/src/kernel-headers-your-headers-version/include"

Same thing with the nvidia-glx.

Im sure there are more elegant methods too.

Note i cant guarantee that it works ... it did work with me its a dirty 
recepee but if youre brave try it =).
Also i have a Geforce2GTS there might be differences.
