HOWTO? I find it weird, but you won't really need a
HOWTO in going from an RH to Debian setup, or maybe
any Linux distro that adheres to the Linux standard
base. There are differences however, between Linux
distros that are worth watching out for, though
(like how Debian lays out initialization scripts, apps --
basically the Debian policy, that Debian uses dpkg and
apt and not rpm by default in the packaging system,
that Debian has the stable, testing, frozen --> coming soon
I hope, and the unstable trees, not to mention the subtle
differences between Linux distros). In short, just get to the
job of installing Debian. You always have the tons of
docus and this friendly mailing list to get you up and
running :->

If you have a separate /home partition, you can somehow
reuse it. Change the umask settings if necessary (though
I wasn't troubled by this when I migrated to Debian from
RH 7.0 last year).
