# mv /etc/rc2.d/S99gdm /etc/rc2.d/notS99gdm
(if you using gdm)
Debiain doesn't force any runlevel structure on you. By default
they're all the same (except 0, 1, 6), but you can tweak them to your
heart's content.
Note that you can press Alt-Ctrl-F[123456] to get to a virtual
console, and Alt-Ctrl-F7 to get back to X.
