the other question is who do I configure sound card, soundconf?
my card is sound plaster pci 16, it work well at rh7.2(it configure at boot) I am using 2.2.18, should I had better jump to 2.4.17 to solve that sound module's problem?

I ever tried to modprobe sb, but get error

/lib/modules/2.2.18/misc/sb.o: init_module: Device or resource busy
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters
/lib/modules/2.2.18/misc/sb.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.2.18/misc/sb.o failed
/lib/modules/2.2.18/misc/sb.o: insmod sb failed

hope to see some advanced users' help, and thank in advance, eric
