Use the pinning feature of apt. In /etc/apt/preferences, enter
Package: kghostview
Pin: release a=unstable
Pin-Priority: 200
This will make the kghostview package from unstable, more desirable than
the one from woody, and each time you apt-get upgrade, it'll sync that
particular package to unstable.

Hope this helps.
