It doesn't know who me is. You have to alias me to whoever your ISP
knows as me.

It is only if you are using us to read the docs for you.
Read the exim doc (spec.txt) IIRC. also look at
/etc/email-addresses.dpkg-dist
you have to set up the /etc/email-addresses file like this
