Is the CDR already mounted?

Hit <alt><F2> to go to the second virtual console, hit <return> for a
shell, and type "mount" to see what's currently mounted.  If the CDR is
mounted, type "umount /cdrom" to unmount it.  Otherwise, try mounting it
manually:

    $ mount -t iso9660 -r /dev/hdc /cdrom

...should be what you want.  Report *exact* errors here.
