Re: booting is very difficult



well, i changed it to boot=/dev/hda and i still get my familiar old "LI"

interesting thing - i have a couple other slave drives on the system and
just to test i unplugged them and booted.

LILO did start to load linux, but I got "kernel panic" - no init found.
sheesh.  i just can't win i guess.  I'm not sure what that error is or what
caused it.

but since the boot floppy works fine, if the kernel is bad on the HD (which
i can't see how it is, it was created earlier this evening, same time as the
boot floppy kernel) is there a way for me to restore the kernel on the HD
with the one from the floppy?
