RPC: Unable to send
Hi All - I have tried to mount an NFS share from my (Potato)
server to my (Potato) laptop. Basically this works, however
only if I mount manually.
If I boot my laptop I see the following messages:
- Not starting NFS kernel deamon, no exports
- RPC Port mapper Failure - RPC: Unable to send
I have done the following to the Laptop
- Added to /etc/fstab:
server:/home/erik /home/erik/mnt
and to the Server:
- Created:
/etc/exports
- Added to /etc/exports:
/home/erik lap(rw)
Funny enough, if I execute:
/etc/init.d/mountnfs
right after my laptop boots (with those error messages),
my mount works well.
Any suggestions about what I seem to be missing?
Thanks a lot.
