Rescye disk that understands Reiserfs ?

One of my Debuan boxes crashed last night. As I watched it crawl trhough
fsck'g a 40G partition, it dwaned on me that there was a better way to do
this.

So, I wnat to convert my root partiton to Reiserfs. I have 2 partions on
that disk / and /boot. I have 2 other disks which are already Reiserfs. So
my plan is to boot from a rescue disk tar up the now mounetd root partion
to one of the other disk, do a mkfs on the root partiton, and untar.

But, to do this I need for the kernel on the rescue disk to understand
Reiserfs. Where can I get such a rescue disk?
